Hardware Robotics Engineer OR AI Semantic Architect (Individual Specialists or Duo Welcomed)
We are executing a highly focused 4-to-6-week development sprint to build a fully localized, zero-contradiction AI architecture (Semantic Backend) and bridge it directly into a physical bipedal robotics chassis (Hardware Bridge) utilizing the Unitree G1 or a comparable android/humanoid robot.
We require two distinct technical focuses for this project. You may apply as an individual specialist for Role 1 OR Role 2, or you may apply as a pre-existing engineering duo. If hired as a solo specialist, you must be highly comfortable collaborating and sharing API documentation with an external counterpart to ensure seamless cyber-physical integration.
This system completely bypasses the limitations of standard cloud AI by utilizing an air-gapped semantic vector database, strict hardware preemptions, and a unique Guardrailed Response Protocol. The AI is mathematically forbidden from hallucinating or argumentative looping; if it encounters an incomplete data variable, it must execute a strict safety halt.
Role 1: AI / Semantic Systems Architect & App Ecosystem Developer (Backend)
-
Tech Stack & Skills: Python, React Native / Flutter (for cross-platform mobile app development), iOS/Android ecosystem deployment, API Architecture, ChromaDB (Semantic Vector Databases), Localized LLM deployment (SLMs).
-
Core Objectives:
-
Design and deploy the complete digital app ecosystem (the presentation layer) that securely interfaces with the localized backend, ensuring a seamless, consumer-ready mobile/desktop experience.
-
Build the localized ChromaDB environment and an Asynchronous Data Buffer loop for offline fact-verification.
-
Code the Strict Fallback Logic gates and Dynamic Prompt Formatting to ensure respectful user interaction without compromising the core knowledge environment.
-
Role 2: Robotics & Hardware Integration Engineer (Hardware Bridge)
-
Tech Stack: C++, ROS (Robot Operating System), FPGA (silicon logic), Nvidia Isaac Sim (or Gazebo).
-
Core Objectives:
-
Build the secure hardware bridge to the physical Unitree G1 (or comparable android/humanoid robot) chassis.
-
Translate the AI’s semantic decisions into physical motor torque and Low-Latency Hardware Preemptions (e.g., zeroing torque if a spatial boundary is breached).
-
Utilize Digital Twin simulation to rigorously calibrate balance, latency, and hardware preemptions prior to physical deployment.
-
Program Dynamic User Role Authorization (dynamic organic enrollment for recognizing user hierarchy and filtering crowd noise).
-
Project Milestones & Deliverables (6-Week Timeline):
-
Core Logic: Localized ChromaDB environment and reality-grounding gates functioning offline.
-
Digital Ecosystem: Fully operational mobile/desktop app ecosystem (UI/UX and backend integration).
-
Physical Integration: Code deployed and simulated via Digital Twin, ready for physical hardware.
-
Security & Legal: Complete handover of all source code under a strict IP Assignment Agreement.
Mandatory Security Requirements:
-
All developers must sign an NDA and a full IP Assignment Agreement (Work-for-Hire). We retain 100% ownership of the proprietary architecture.
-
Deployment Security Clause: All production compilation must strictly prohibit sourcemaps (sourcemap: “none”). The digital app and hardware bridges must remain completely air-gapped from the backend logic.

Cerebel Robotics — Founding Engineers (AI / Embedded SW) | Part-Time → Full-Time | Frisco, TX
We’re building autonomous mobile manipulators for warehouse pick-and-place — real robots, real warehouses, not another demo video.
Who we are: Cerebel Robotics is an early-stage robotics startup. We have a physical robot platform (mobile base + 7-DOF arm + gripper), a simulation environment in Isaac Sim, and a pilot warehouse lined up. What we need now are the first two engineers to help us go from teleoperation to autonomous operation.
Here’s the robot in action: https://youtube.com/shorts/WeP-TJcGXx0
We’re hiring for two founding roles:
-
AI / Robotics Engineer You’d own the perception-to-action pipeline: VLA model fine-tuning (GR00T / pi0), imitation learning data collection, sim-to-real transfer, SLAM integration (Nav2), and ZED 2i vision. If you’ve trained a policy in sim and sweated through the real-robot gap, this is your kind of problem.
-
Embedded Software Engineer You’d own everything between the AI and the actuators: CAN bus interface, motor control (wheels, arm, gripper), teleoperation system, safety systems (e-stop, interlocks), state logging, and getting the robot to run reliably for 8+ hours. If you’ve debugged a CAN frame at 2am, you know what this role is.
Stack: Isaac Sim, ROS2, Python, PyTorch, C/C++, CAN bus, ZED 2i SDK, embedded Linux
What to know:
-
Starts part-time (~20 hrs/week) in April, targeting full-time by August
-
$30/hr during part-time phase (Apr–Jul), founding equity, with full-time conversion and salary increase planned for Aug.
-
You’ll be engineer #1 or #2. No layers, no process theater
-
Real hardware from day one. The robot exists, the sim exists, the warehouse partner exists
-
On-site in Frisco, TX — hands-on with physical hardware is essential for these roles
Interested? DM me or check the full JDs at Cerebel - AI Workforce for the Real World . Happy to answer questions in the comments too.

Fireloop is seeking a Robotics Forward Deployment Engineer
Job Title: Forward Deployed Engineer (Robotics)
Location: Remote (USA) – Only open for candidates presently in the USA.
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience: Open to Fresh Graduates & Aspiring Engineers
About the Role
At Fireloop, we build the critical infrastructure that bridges the gap between advanced robotics research and real-world production. We are looking for an aspiring Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) who is ready to get their hands dirty at the intersection of software, hardware, and client delivery.
In this role, you will be the “boots on the ground” (virtually) for our deployments. You will start by shadowing our core engineering team to absorb our technology stack, and then transition into a key role where you ensure our robotics solutions run flawlessly in client environments.
This is not a traditional R&D role; it is an integration and execution role. We don’t need you to invent new SLAM algorithms from scratch, but we do need you to understand how they work, how to debug them when they fail, and how to make them reliable for our customers.
What You Will Do
-
Simulation & Synthetic Data Generation: Define, simulate and train pre-go-live scenarios using Isaac SIM and Isaac Lab.
-
Deployment & Integration: Take ownership of the “last mile” of engineering. You will deploy robotics software stacks into client environments (cloud and edge) and ensure they integrate smoothly with existing hardware.
-
ROS/ROS2 Engineering: Write, debug, and configure ROS nodes. You will handle message passing, coordinate transforms (TF2), and launch file configurations to ensure different parts of the robot talk to each other.
-
System Debugging: Troubleshoot complex issues that only happen in the real world. You will dig into logs, analyze network traffic, and fix configuration errors to maximize system uptime.
-
Shadow & Learn: Work side-by-side with senior architects to learn best practices in robotics infrastructure, simulation, and agentic AI.
-
Feedback Loop: Act as the technical voice of the field. You will identify bugs and edge cases during deployment and channel that feedback to the core team to improve the product.
Who You Are
-
Aspirational & Hungry: You might be early in your career, but you have a relentless drive to learn. You treat every error message as a challenge, not a roadblock.
-
Strong Engineering Fundamentals: You have a solid grasp of Computer Science basics (Data Structures, Algorithms) and the mathematical foundations of robotics (Linear Algebra, Matrices).
-
Linux Native: You are comfortable living in the terminal. You know your way around Ubuntu, SSH, and basic shell scripting.
-
Problem Solver: You have the “grit” to stick with a problem until it is solved. You can clearly explain what you tried, what failed, and what you think the solution is.
Technical Requirements (The Must-Haves)
-
Educational Background: BS/MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent passion/experience.
-
Robotics Core: Strong conceptual understanding of ROS (Robot Operating System) / ROS2. You should know what Nodes, Topics, Services, and Actions are.
-
Coding: Proficiency in Python (required) and ability to read/debug C++.
-
Tools: Familiarity with Git (Version Control) and Docker (Basics).
Nice-to-Have Skills (Differentiates you!)
-
Experience with robotics simulators (Gazebo, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo).
-
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
-
Experience working with sensor data (Lidar, Cameras, IMUs).
Why Join Us?
-
Accelerated Growth: This role is a pressure cooker for learning. You will see more real-world robotics problems in one year than most engineers see in five.
-
Impact: You aren’t just writing code; you are deploying intelligent machines that do real work.
-
Remote Flexibility: Work from anywhere in the US with a forward-thinking, distributed team.
-
Visa Support: We support H1B sponsorship for high-potential candidates who prove their value.
